Off to my first LARPing event soon - Maelstrom, if anybody around here knows it. I'm a little nervous, if im honest. I wouldnt have chosen to go LARPing normally myself, but a friend of mine is into it and asked me to tag along, so i thought hey, why not. If i'm not a fan of it theres no reason i can't just not attend next time. And if i do have fun then, hey, at least i have one foot in the door already.

At least i'm going to be with a grouple of people i know rather than just diving into it myself. Plus, the character i created as a starter is nice and basic, so i should be at least able to have fun with it. THe only downside at the moment is that I didnt receive some of the background material in time, mainly due to a cockup on my end, so that's probably not going to go well. Ah well.. Im sure I can get most of what i need from hearsay and a borrowed copy my friend has. And if not, well, the guy was gonna play isnt exactly the most world wary anyway =p
