my classmates and i used to play a game

they would name musicians, either rappers or pop singers or bands from the 70s that everybody knows

and i would say i hadn't heard of them

and they'd look at me

"seriously, dude?"

"i guess so, haha..."

and then they would name another one.


I liked this game.
I was the center of attention, for as long as their attention span could continue to rattle off names!

Some of them I had heard of, and didn't want to admit i liked.

Some of them I knew, but if i let on to the fact that I wasn't socially inept,
their game would be over.
