They're both pretty cool games... Terraria is better in the sense that it has a lot more variety in its stuff - more items, more monsters, more variation in areas, etc. But minecraft is better in that it's a lot easier to deal with, and you have a lot more freedom to explore and build. In terraria there are monsters that will get you and interrupt you while you're trying to do stuff, and there's nothing you can do about it because they travel through the ground. That's kind of annoying and i wish it could be turned off...
Also Minecraft is 3d - though it doesn't really matter too much, i think minecraft looks nicer. And the ant-farm feeling of Terraria sometimes feels a little claustrophobic.

I think overall i like minecraft better. I just wish the multiplayer wasn't so buggy.

As for buying them, i have no idea if paypal would work... i forget how i paid for minecraft, it was a long time ago... i might have used my debit card. I'd assume they'd take paypal, since that's pretty standard, but i dunno. Terraria i ddin't pay for, because i just wanted to try it and i had no money anyway...

Once I get sorted out (some day) I'll have to at least get Minecraft :D I seems it would age better then Terraria since once you kill all the bosses your kinda done unless you want to kill those bosses again.

Minecraft seems only limited by how much time you want to spend in it. Seen some videos of people mining for ages to make traps and things.

You can buy both minecraft and terraria with paypal. The latter I know works through Steam at least, and the former should be right on their website.

I really enjoy both games, personally. Minecraft is a much more creative game, you'll run out of stuff to do pretty quickly if you don't start building sand castles in the wide-open sandbox it hands you. Terraria on the other hand, while it has a building element to it, is much more gameplay focused, and you'll spend a good deal of your time fighting monsters and bosses rather than just goofing around building stuff.

i've never played terraria, but i can tell you personally that minecraft is COMPLETE CRACK. hahaha. that game is so addictive. but very fun. it's a sandbox game to the core, you can do or make pretty much whatever you want. and exploring caves is so fun!

It looks great on you tube and I likely wont be able to resit getting it, but food and art supplys come first sadly *sigh*
