In honor of Veterans' Day, here's the list of my family members who defended my freedom and a recap of those who made that ultimate sacrifice.
Rank & unit given if known.
WW II:
Pfc. Shigeru Nakamura, 522 HQ, 442 RCT/ 100 Btl.
Kwanyei Goya, Imperial Japanese Army. KIA- Okinawa 1945.
*(I suspect there were probably more.)
Korea:
Col. Iwao Yokooji, 442 RCT/ 2 Inf. Div.
Pvt. Tetsumi Yokooji, 7 Cav. Rgt./ 1 Cav. Div. KIA-9/28/51
(Iwao's brother.)
Vietnam:
Dennis Sato
I've also been told that my great-grandfather was also a WWI vet (for the US), and my neighbor, who is currently in the hospital due to a heart attack.
Also I'd like to give a specail shout-out to all you Mil-Furs and Vet-Furs for your service in both peacetime and war. There is at least one who appereciates it.
Thank You!

My father was only a baby during the war, but my uncle served in the Royal Navy in the Mediterranean and on convoys to Murmansk.
