I may not know how that feels directly buy my dad used to work for a company called Tektronix and it got bought by Xerox, he was a field operator and there were cutting jobs and he was the 1 of the 3 field operators to be let go. it sucked big time for him because of how long he worked for the company and him being in his 50's so it took him almost 2 years to get a new job so he suffered. i mean they gave him a free care payed for gas and stuff so he had it ok, but sadly because of that firing he pretty much emptied his retirement money to keep things together, this current job though he should be getting a sizable raise so he would be making more than he did and not having to dealing with tolls or Massachusetts state taxes like he did coming from NH he just has to deal with NH stuff.
