Hey fellows, I wanted to ask the help of some composers who would be able to illustrate our gallery!
The subject would be the music in general, with various theme. Those theme would be the main genre of our list :
Classical / Orchestral,
Electronic / Techno / Hardcore / Ambient / Trance
Folk / Classic / Alternative / Pop
Rock / Metal
Piano / Keyboards
Game music
Urban / Hip Hop / RnB
Jazz / Blues
New Age
You can propose your works to
karuno or
dolphinboy by note. Simply upload your work on FA and send us a note
The descision will be taken in about a week; the winners will have their works exposed as illustrations of the lists, with full credit of course
To your tablets ! See you in a week !

this'll be fun :)
I just have a laptop (it has a mousepad, a thing you use with your finger... shocking, i know!). I have no mouse or pad... so, I use my finger!
icons?
oh oh oh! i see.. you want a representative image you can upload, for each genre.
then...
down in the picture description, you'll link to the music and so on... so the image is to be used as a submission anchor that you can find easily, yes?
We were looking for a full pic to submit AS A PIC, and as comment we would put the whole list of people composing this kind of music, and credits to the author. Was I clear enough?
*goes to buy a brain*
*gives u brain*
As a side note, I personally think that there should be a distinction between IDM and EDM in the lists.
I mean, it's really strange seeing "ambient" among "Techno / Hardcore / Ambient / Trance" considering it's usually much less intense than the other three listed.
Not to mention I'm sure I'm not the only electronic musician on here that would prefer not to be associated with the stereotype that all furry musicians write trance/house/techno/etc.
But I really don't remember who was "ambient" composer and who was "usual techno". I'll make a journal to update everone
Annnd since we're on the subject, I'm not sure if piano and keyboards really deserve their own category. I feel that they could fit easily among the other genres, especially in classical, electronic, and jazz.
Additionally, it would help if there was a bit more clarification on what was required from the submissions. What dimensions should they be? Does the name of the genre have to be included on it? Things like that would help quite a bit.
Moreover, I planned to delete some categories until there's enought people to put in. This is exactly why I asked people to list themselve under a pre-existant category, but some have insisted to be listed apart. This will change.
Also, the name of the genre should be written on the picture, this would be more worthy, I guess.
