hihi! so feel like i'll be really bad at giving a post-con report (it'll probably turn in to a story), but let's see...

we arrived in Pittsburgh at about 9:30 Thursday night, after leaving much later than we had planned and dealing with torrential rainstorms and tons of roadwork on the way down.

we got to the hotel to find that the room we thought we got was not the room we got. we booked a room with a single bed, expecting that it would have a couch, bathroom, and TV. what we GOT was a room with TWO beds, a couch, a chair, a TV and fridge, a desk, and one and a half bathrooms. AND it was about twice as large as any other hotel room any of us had ever seen o.o i LOVE the Omni!

we spent the first night freaking out that we were at AC (the only one of us who's ever gone before was rctwi). it was awesome to meet neokariz and to spend time with peppermintkitten and melyn, cuz i don't see them much. orlalil, rctwi, and elsina know i love them already, haha.

friday, i spent the WHOLE day in the Den, getting everyone's business cards and buying a bunch of little things like stickers and bookmarks etc. got a sketch from firefeathers that i need to get from elsina (so excited), and met lukesilvertail. then we got lost in Pittsburgh trying to find Hard Rock (i LOVE Hard Rock, and it was a goal of mine to go this weekend). we ended up giving up and going to a delicious little pizza place near the Con center that had a Furry Special.

saturday, with printed-out refs from FedEx, we got actual commissioned art. but not before hanging out and getting hot dogs from the vendor outside the Con center. he was a cool guy, and my FIRST street-vendor hot dog EVER! o.o it was so good! finished up the "art room" with the Art Show and Artists Alley. i got another piece of chainmaille (this time from tedursus), a badge from chibbums, and a sketch from fluff-kevlar. i did NOT, however, get the sketch from strype that i've wanted since Furnal Equinox in March...sadface. though the sketch from Fluff alone almost completely makes up for it. we went to the fursuit parade and orlalil took TONS of pictures that should be on her account soon, got some Contact caffeine soap that smells AMAZING, and then went to a panel/Q&A with the guest of honor, Peter S. Beagle (author of The Last Unicorn, who says he's a furry inside, and didn't want to leave <3). tired from a long day, we went to an amazing diner that had an entire AC menu and awesome milkshakes, then retired to the hotel for the night (it was like 8pm, lol)

sunday, our last day there. sadly, i woke up too late to say goodbye to neokariz before he had to catch a plane. we went through the Alley again and orlalil got a badge from chibbums as well (i'm so proud she bought art for herself ^_^) and i picked up my chainmaille (it glows in the dark!) and sketch from Fluff, who is AMAZING and so very nice, if "unprepared". on our way out, i got to hug lavshep and dershep who are ADORABLE, as well as syber, whose suit i just love! orlalil, rctwi, and i said goodbye to peppermintkitten, melyn, and elsina and set out to find Hard Rock and go shopping on The Strip. yeeeeaaaaahhhhh, i hate Pittsburgh's streets. we got lost and did NOT go to Hard Rock, but got to The Strip and went to an amazing seafood restaurant where we got asked all sorts of questions about furries because i was wearing my tail still. it was cool though. everyone in Pittsburgh is really chill and awesome toward us.

from there, we headed home, dealing with the same awful roadwork and listening to Disney music for FIVE hours! hell yes!!!

all in all, it was amazing. i met and/or got to see most (if not all) of my FAVORITE artists, including the ever-amazing FireFeathers, FluffKevlar, Arphalia, Blotch, Dark Natasha, Hibbary, Keihound, Strype, Tsampikos, and SO many others. i just don't want to bog down this little paragraph with 50 names O.O i love them all so much! *is totally not a fangirl...cept totally is*

we're hoping to make this an annual thing, so i hope to see more of your there in the future!!! ♥
