In all honesty, I was a little suspicious of the link. But yeah, that is a pretty stupid move for Capcom. Now that I think about it, there's no point in game publishers to make money off of used games sold from second-hand stores like GameStop. If they're asking for money from used game sales, they might as well try to charge customers twice for one game, 'cause that is, at its essence, what they're trying to pull.

I've always gotten around that shit (like games linking themselves to your system for wifi) by clearing the EEPROM data with a slot-2 flashcard. Can't really do that on the 3DS, but it'll just be a matter of time until we get to it.
