How can I describe the level of joy I felt at AC? I would give any of my AC folks a kidney if you needed one. It was a sincere joy to share this weekend with all of you.

On Sunday night,  atmus23 and I were tucked away in a corner at a room party, where we waxed sociological about the origins and reasons for our peculiar shared interest. I'm fairly certain I've read the following in one way or another before, and I claim no originality here: I supposed that, since we've all taken so much interest in creatures that walk and talk like us, but aren't quite us, we found comfort in human-ish beings which allowed us a release from the pressures of humanity. And when all of us furry humans finally get together IRL on the dance floor, or a sauna, or at a room party, our shared desire makes us all click like nothing else does; I found myself opening up to people and trying new things like I haven't before. Pretending to be a wolf online has ironically helped me open up and grow more as a human person. I feel so privileged to have this experience in my life.
