I had merrily begun work on Tummy Dragon #2, only to realize that I had messed up and chosen a merino/silk BLEND as my main body color. It's a bit like thinking you had yourself a fist full of sculpey only to discover later that what you really had on your hands was a bunch of playdough.
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice wool, but far more appropriate for other things , such as using for hair or manes and tails. I have since removed both wool blends from my "stash" to prevent future accidents. Then I removed the tummy dragon's botched head. Alas! Headless tummy dragon!
That's OK, however. I'm getting ready to start work on my first commission. Upon its completion, I've decided to try to do a mess of little baby gryphons. Not like my blue gryphon, I'm talking teeny weeny hatchlings. Originally, I had wanted to do a red panda anthro I've got rolling around in my head, but I haven't actually nailed the design down in my workbook. I designed the tiny baby chicks thoroughly last week, so it's the better project to go with for now.
GRYPHONS. GRYPHONS EVERYWHERE.
