terrible characteristics of most if not all characters, ruined the ones that used to be good or okay.

it sucked.
no, rephrase; it sucked as a Transformers movie, the THIRD in this line, it would have done fine as a random sci-fi flick, as then the flat, crappy character-writing and lame plot would have been okay.
