i like band of horses!!

You know their song St. Augustine? One of my favs and I was getting so psyched up to hear it because it's their only show ACTUALLY IN HOLLYWOOD and everyone knows you pretty HAVE to sing songs in the city's they're about, right? Right? Ahhh...

So they didn't actually play it. Regardless it was a flawless show. Did most all their hits and their new album really is on par with their first, so the new tracks were just as good, too!


p.s. I've never been to a furcon and I can only imagine you will be thronged by fans - but do you think you could break free enough to let me buy ya some coffee or beer? I guessss your boyfriend could come ;) And anyone else, too...I just don't want to let this rare chance of actually catching glimpse of each other slip by!

omg dude do you like sushi? theres a fantastic sushi bar in the fc hotel. we should go get some. i'd love to chill with ya. there's always lots of down time at cons especially late at night when nobody wants to sleep.
do you have a place to stay there yet?

i saw animal collective one time and i was expecting to hear stuff off of one of their albums, but i didn't recognize anything they played. turns out that they had everything up way tooooo loud and it was impossible to hear anything, and they were playing stuff off of their new album...

That animal collective show pretty much sums up the worst live experience I could imagine. I mean, your ears naturally clip volumes over a certain level to prevent damage. So, LOUD shows are a waste of money and your time because you can't physically hear anything! Plus songs take time to sink, playing shows entirely made up of material nobody's ever heard before ranks pretty freaking high on my list of lame.

I similarly had an Appleseed Cast show ruined because of the venue's overblown mixing :/ The band members were all laughing at each other over how ridiculous it was but, commendably, still played the set.
