This site is more art oriented rather than writing oriented, so writing isn't as noticed as art is. Or so I've been told.

yeppers... which is sad... but somehow, some writers are still able to get the recognition. For example, Danath, Saint_Ajax, Jeevestheroo, and others.

They are the main story writers around that make awesomely good stories. Hrm.. I'm not sure how good are they in what sense but they are especially well known for some on SoFurry. What about Graveyarddog?

No, but I'll mention that SoFurry is known for being more accomadating to writers than FA is. Then again I mostly write rather than read stories so that might be why I don't know them.

writers should actually read and write both at the same time. This is basically to get to expand your knowledge better and helps to broaden your scope of writing. That's just my personal opinion on writing though. Also, it's because I didn't start out good enough last time. So, I had to go around, reading stories and get a good hand at it.

No, I agree. I just procrastinate on things too often, it's hard for me to get into stories from either lack of time or putting it off.
