I'm back. Had a pretty fun time up in Michigan on the Lake Huron beach. It's an entirely different world from my usual location, which is probably why I love it so much, every time. I actually managed to come away this time without a serious sunburn. Shocking. Spray-on sunscreen is a beautiful, wonderful thing.

Really the only downside was that while getting out at a rest stop to take over driving, in a half-asleep stupor I managed to smash my right big toe into a curb (I was wearing sandals), scraping a good chunk of skin off the front and bruising up both joints. Needless to say, I didn't have to worry about falling asleep on my turn.

Oh, and they're right: it's pretty much impossible to frown on a waverunner.
