Dearest Readers,
Have you ever found that one artist (or groups of artists) that just take the wind completely out of your sails? I know I have....They totally make me uber self-concious about my work, and I go into a artistic slump v_v They just make you and your work feel SO insignificant that you wanna just tear up everything you've drawn and start over? (or not) Their awesome work just blows you away, and you love it, but you hate it at the same time? Everything they do just makes you wanna go on a very very long hiatus?
I'm sure you have.
I know I have.
But you know what? Its alright. B/c with each passing year I don't give up, I get better. =) I try new things and apply them to everything else I do, and it really pays off...Explore and Learn, is what I do, and although I might be slightly envious of others work, I admire them, and study their techniques so I can one day be as good as them. They are really what keep me going to do better. I might get down sometimes, but I pick myself back up and say: "Hey. They were beginners once too. If I try hard and keep my focus, I can be that good." =D So I have to just keep my head up, keep my focus, and remember why I'm drawing anyways: Because I enjoy it.
So, to everyone of Fur Affinity, DeviantArt, Elfwood, and other art sites: ~big hugs~ Thanks for inspiring me to push myself to do better. <333

I'm glad that you can pick up and keep improving yourself. I can't do that with myself, at least not yet.

I've gotten one or two art depressions, one being for almost a year due to DA's unfair "popular and quality only" system. That's a long time to not pick up a pencil and the old skills i used to have starved to death because of it, i still haven't regained such skills back. ;_;
It's taken a long time for me to actually get back into art, but i'm learning to do it for the enjoyment now and not for the popularity or skills. ^^
Strangely odd for me though as i don't even like considering myself an artist at all, probably since it seems to prevent me from doing the dreaded comparing of my art to others. lol
Aww you've said it so perfectly dear, that's such a great form of encouragement and certainly the most right way to look at art. ^^
That's what i personally consider to be actual artists, you being one very lovely and skilled artist. -hugs- ^-^
Your lovely art's certainly quite an inspiration to me as well dear. ^o^
