Would anybody like some art classes?
I've been tossing this idea around most of the morning and decided I'd throw this out there to see what kind of response I get.
Since I have a Livestream account, I'm considering doing a series of 1 hour long FREE art classes. Just for fun and for the sake of helping out fellow artists since a lot of people ask me how I do this or that.
I could cover things like basic drawing 101, inking, anatomy, cloth, hair, shading, special effects, comics...whatever you guys would like to see. I learn best by using tips and tricks, so I teach in the same manner.
But before I go through all that, I wanted to see if anyone would show up.
So if you or anybody you know might be interested, please point them to this journal post and have them give me a comment.
Some questions to answer:
- What do you want to learn about?
- What days are good for you to log on and view?
- What times are best for you?
I'll take the general consensus and work with that. I apologize heavily in advance if it turns out I have to pick a time/day that does not work for you. I will be recording the sessions and posting them for anybody to look at later at their convenience. I will also be answering questions, so if you have a burning question for me to answer, I will happily read them and cover them "on air" for you.
Again, this will 100% free.
Please give me your feedback!

* Body types, or how to make your characters look like normal people and not all looks like they were traced out of an Ambercrombie magazine.
* Size Matters! How to make things on your character look large, but not look ridiculous. (Hair, guns, swords and the like... you perv!)
* I'm not a tracer! Inking and finishing to complete a picture, more than just outlining. Where to apply thicker and thinner lines.
And, well, my schedule is all over the place, so... really there isn't such a thing as a good day :(
thanks LT!

Showing up for the actual recording would depend entirely on when you record them (as whether my lap top is still being glitchy). ^^;
It's been ages since I actually drew something other than a few cubes in the margin of a notebook.... "Basic drawing 101" would definitely appeal -- start simple, and work up to the more advanced stuff.
As for time -- if it's only an hour long, start any time up to roughly midnight BST/GMT. So that's about 6PM EST if my hazy timezone math hasn't failed me...!
One thing I would ask -- if you do these as Livestreams (or Ustream, or whatever) then record them. It'd be nice to replay previous lessons and catch up, or just re-watch bits that don't quite make sense until they.. well.. make sense.
