Streaming is weird
I've greatly enjoyed the recent streaming sessions I've put on during the past few days. It's very strange, however, to be talking to a group of people and have them only type back at you. Stranger still is looking back at the recordings of the stream and hearing yourself speaking on only one side of the conversation. Also, I had no idea that I stuttered so much during the sessions. You viewers probably didn't notice, but upon playback I recognized those moments of hesitation and disfluency well. Not that I care- I'm heartened by my ability to work through these moments without bother.
One of my professors from my college years spoke of setting up a tape recorder in the room while one is working on art, because you do talk to your art, even if you don't think you do. The playback can reveal new insights into your process. The participatory and instant-feedback nature of this particular art community adds to the insight, and having live feedback whilst art making is an unforgettable and exciting experience. I look forward to continuing these sessions.

I've found that, if I have people to talk to while I draw, on skype, and they can see what I'm doing, I spend a lot more time and effort on it than if I was just sitting on my own.
You are completely articulate, i love you how you talk. I wish i could be that relaxed and precise!
And thank you for your kind compliment on my elocution.
also weird thing is like having many invisible viewers and your computer being the only recipient of everyone's gaze. something something panopticon.
Also, I'm a panoptimist.
