How does one work at getting shorter? Are there diets out there? Pills? Anti-bone exercises? O_o

Well in theory if you're awake for more than 24 hours in a standing position gravity will compact your spine, giving you a slight height adjustement.

Also, from a certain age, humans become a bit smaller too. But this effect is nothing to be happy about. It has to do with the intervertebral discs becoming older and losing their ability to regenerate over night.

We'll turn you into a microphile, yet!

Include a lot of shortening in your diet.

Of course, I do wish I was even smaller by the time we ever met. I love being shorter than most folks around me, not just people that are very tall. :)

I wish I knew myself. It's happened slowly over years. I used to be about 5', 8" ten years ago. Perfectly healthy, bone calcium levels are normal, no spine compression either. I'm just...smaller. No real explanation, but I do hope it continues for a while longer. I like being short.

Shouldn't you see a doctor to find out why? It could be pretty serious...

Also I'm 5' 3.5" ^_^. It's a pain not being able to reach high shelves though.

I'm just holding steady at 6'2". In Scotland, that was enough to earn me the unofficial job title of "the guy who doesn't need a stepladder" when I worked in a retail stockroom.
