I return!
I have returned from Sonisphere!
It has been both the best, and roughest time of my life. Camping out with thousands of drunk and rowdy metal-heads is not an easy thing to do, but holy shit it was worth it just for the final performance alone.
I saw Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer, Metallica, Richard Cheese & Lounge Against the Machine, Gojira, Paradise Lost, Arch Enemy, House of Pain, Sum 41, In Flames, Mastadon, Opeth, Motorhead, Limp Bizkit, Bill Baily and finally Slipknot!
At Slayer, I moshed with Dr Who, Robocop and Pikachu. I accedentally took someone down by headbutting them in the chest, and me and this big dude locked hands and span around, swinging each other into everyone else like wrecking balls.
At Slipknot, we had some traditional English weather, which is to say it rained like there was no tomorow. But bloody hell, they were incredible. I've seen them once before so I knew what they were like live, but this was on a different level. Totally blew me away. Spent the whole show in a pit, although I did spend a while standing on the edge of it trying to recuperate after being hit in the nuts D: . Sid (One of the band members) decided to crowdsurf, I got to help lift him! Then he climbed up the steel tower in the centre of the crowd, and jumped off into us. We caught him and surfed him back to the stage. Crazy bastard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSVkcbyOA5w . There's already a video up of one of the songs they played. At around 5:40 - 5:50, the camera shows the crowd. The video quality isn't good, but you can see alot of people moving in a pit between the tower and the stage. That's where I was, somewhere in that mess :D
Anyway, I'm wrecked, and I badly need a shower. Also, I got sunburn on the top of my head, can't bloody wait for the shower to hit that T_T

Do you know what one of the first things I did when i got back? I watched a randomly chosen episode of My Little Pony You have no idea how good it felt to slump into my chair, and relax without worrying if those guys outside were about to come smashing through the side of my tent. (They smashed the tent next to my btw :p )
