It's invite-only, you just need to ask someone who is already on to invite you. I think. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure as most folks I know were already there when I got dragged in. :o

You need an invite from someone who has it. They need your email address to send it to.

nope, where facebook everything you put up can be used by them commerciall *says it in their privacy notice* google+ "doesn't" note the quotes as like any big company just cause they say its yours doesn't mean they sometimes "forget" what they put up as their own rules :O

I just joined that thing last night

well, supposedly it essentially combines facebook and twitter

you get facebook's profile setup, with picture and video sharing

and you can make 'circles' similar to twitter hashtags, that people can join in and thus follow - so unlike facebook where you can only befriend, then here you can also 'follow' circles and their updates
