I found it! It took much searching and a lucky nab of an eBay lot, but the giant bell I have dreamed of for a costume is mine. Yes, I am being overly dramatic about this, but this was pretty much the only thing for my costume I was having trouble finding, so I am feeling absurdly successful.
This thing is huge - it sounds more like a cow bell than a jingle bell. I bought it in a lot of two for an excellent price, so if anyone would like the second bell for the cost of me shipping it to you, it's yours. It's got a two inch diameter and while the packaging it came in ended up a bit torn up the bell itself is in fine shape.
I'm so excited for this costume you guys! SO EXCITED. I haven't made a costume in ages.

Hehe coolies. Glad to hear you were able to find the 'missing piece' to bring it all together for you. As to adding it to your costume, are you sure that bell is StarFleet issue? :) (waits to see if the joke is got..)
