I had to buy myself a new pen 2 years ago and sadly it was around that price aswell. I think you may be out of luck :X unless you can find someone with the type of pen you need who can give it to you for cheap or something.

a friend of mine lent me his graphire 3 stylus; but it doesn't seem to work on my tablet...

I have a bamboo fun and the extra pen I had to buy was about 60-70. ( dropped the old in a cup of soup, go me!)
it actually works again now though but it;s still a little iffy sometimes

Try a little one-man computer shop... they sell those for cheap (at least here) or mailorder (Ebay anyone?)

i really doubt i could find a replacement pen... And Ebay doesn't seem to ship outside of the us :(

I know what you mean about US sellers.... I can't hardly get them to ship to Canada. I ended up getting a buddy in the US to relay a lot of stuff (which doubles shipping, of course)

So all that's broken is the pen and not the entire tablet?

It's not really broken yet, It's just very worn out. (the grip broke about a year ago, the screw-in head is cracked, and the side button is loose as hell.)

It still works for drawing, but i don't think it'll last much longer :S

And unfortunately I think 54+s/h is as good as one can get for tablet pens. Unless you're willing to settle for the classic pen.

Yeah. Mine is an intuos 4. Even used on Amazon, the art pen I have is $70-$80 as of today. By itself, it has its inherent problems; my main concern has always been that the pen tip wears down after frequent use and I have to switch them out constantly. I use a pane of glass in a picture frame placed on the surface of the tablet to prevent wear-down, but it can be cumbersome. (And wacom never really seemed to rectify the problem.)

What country do you live in? Sometimes ebay sellers will ship internationally.

Well, I actually took off the drawing surface of my Intuos3 and nibs lasted quite a bit. i hear it's a problem with the texture eating up the nib. (and i'm using my DIY wooden nibs now that i'm out of official nibs xD)
