Oslo? What happened?

A bomb went off in or by a government office building that had the Prime Minister's offices, and the PM's offices were pretty damaged. A few people have been reported injured or killed.

"OSLO (Reuters) - A bomb ripped through Oslo's central government district on Friday and a gunmen dressed as a policeman then opened fire at a youth camp on a nearby island, killing 17 people altogether, police said."

Holy shit, gunmen executed a bunch of kids trapped on an island. The article says a gunman was arrested; I hope they execute him publicly. Such cowards that they have to attack defenseless people.

Norway hasn't used the death penalty since the end of World War 2. The last person to be executed was Vidkun Quisling, the traitor.

The shooter has been confirmed to be Norwegian. It's been a long, long time since the last time I heard of something as big as this happening in my country. In fact, I don't think such a massacre has happened before.

I'm just glad I live on the west coast, and outside of the major cities. My family should be safe, at least.

went to norway a few years ago, it was a beautiful place and the people there are incredibly friendly.

hope that bastard they arrested is never let out of prison.

Not a lot of details on what happened yet here, but What has been reported, two incidents, one being a large bomb set at the government seat, the building that houses the PM's office, causing a number of casualties.

The second was a "fake" policemen going to a summer camp for teens, to inspect the camp in the aftermath of a Bomb at the capital. Once granted ingress to the camp he pulled out a submachinegun, and started targeting the kids.

Casualties are listed so far at 17.

The perpetrator was arrested, and was described as an ethnic Norwegian.

Looks like a lone far-right gunman/bomber now with a grudge against the government.
