Hey guys! God, it's been forever. I've been ridiculously busy lately with art shows that keep popping up all over the place (though nothing's sold *grumblegrumble*). And now i'm going to be even busier with a tiny addition to my family.

On saturday, I went to the local shelter to check out their "kitten shower". They have 200 cats in their facility, including 3 dozen they'd just rescued from a hoarding situation, and I wanted to go and donate and check 'em out. My cat Merlin passed away last october and I've missed the companionship like crazy. So i thought perhaps this was a good opportunity to possibly help out and adopt a new fuzzbutt (she could never be Merlin's replacement, and that's not my intention - she's just one more bundle of love with her own personality). Lo and behold, I found her.

She's 3 months old and a lynx-point siamese. That's what the lady told me, even though her paper says DSH/mix, and she certainly looks like a siamese and is mouthy as hell. I named her Freya. Timid around people, but she's warming up to me and my roommate pretty fast and she just craaaaaaves attention! She was one of the hoarded kittens (which almost all were adopted really fast). I'm hoping she'll be cool with my roommate's cat Peppo, who's a big soft pushover - she's retrieving him from her parents' house this evening!
