Fanboy Confessional
Hello all,
As the episode of “Fanboy Confessionals” has just aired on the Space Network here in Canada I would like to say a few things. I am very happy with how the episode turned out. It is one of the first documentaries done on the fandom to appropriately and properly describe and document our small furry world. I hope everyone can appreciate my contribution to the episode, and I’d like to think I’ve done the fandom proud. Even as I type this I am in my fortress of pink, surrounded by all the plushies featured in the film. I hope my business will only grow bigger from here. Please feel free to comment with your opinions of the episode, to be repeated at 1am on Space if you missed it at 10. As soon as I can I will link a copy to everyone to see. It should be up on the Space Network website within a day or two. I hope this episode can help all those closet furries to come out and embrace their inner animals. I’d love this show to be the one to help non furs to understand us and who we are as a group on a whole. Thank you to everyone who supported me all through this, to the producer Michael and his talent scout Laura for contacting me and following me around for a few days. Once again I am so proud to have been a part of this, life can really only go up from here.
Sincerely, Kitty

You did well with representing the fandom, the whole episode was great!
P.S I have never seen a pink fish before, where did you get him?
*Hugs* Congrats once again :)
do you know if it might also be on the web?
I actually managed to get my mom seated long enough to watch about 15 minutes of the show (when it aired at 10pm), she was like but I thought.... it changed her mind about what the though of furries for sure (which is a good thing, since she like many though of the CSI junk as what we are about - sighs).
The sad thing is if you are outside of canada you might not be able to watch the ep, I never was able to watch anything on the spacecast site while down in the US which was rather annoying, so we have to hope that a station down there will pick up fanboy and play the ep.

also wanted to add you convinced my dad that furries were awesome. he was like "thats soo awesome! i mean if I were an animal i'd be a bat!" and he carried on and on. XD~
YOU DUN THE COMMUNITY WELL
I notice that most of the attention was on fursuits, no surprise there. I could have done without the "furry vs otaku" reference; I dunno if it's true, but airing it did neither side any good.I sure wish they'd taken less than a year to air the episode, or at least mentioned Condition: Red and It Came From Camp Feral! It was good that they quoted actual statistics, although I'd rather that they'd left the whole subject alone.
So it could have been a lot worse. Besides, only other "fanboys" will have watched it and they're not our problem. This was not a disaster.
It's unfortunate that the episode on the space website appears to be region locked to Canada only. At least according to both some US nad UK friends of mine. I /so/ need to get my hands on a copy to run at MFM.
ALso, we need to get in touch about making you that jacob's ladder we talked about at that campout thing earlier this summer. ^.^
It always seems to be made into something that the almost entire focus is on fursuiters and furstuiting, while both are still a minority in the fandom.
Yet the exposure I see in any media is almost always about the fursuits.
That's about all that really bothers me.
