Because it was brought up by a friend on y!gallery and the article was well-written and researched. Even with links to the research right in the article, many of which I suggest you click, ESPECIALLY if you believe in freedom of speech, in the form of art, whether written or visual. I couldn't say it better than Neil Gaiman.

Also, one link in particular for those of you who think that rape in art will make more people likely to rape someone --> http://jurist.law.pitt.edu/forumy/2.....-political.php

Thank you for this. A very interesting -- compelling -- read, and the statistics you linked were also fascinating. As a writer/reader of lolicon specifically, I am often forced to square off with people on the Internet over the legality of lolicon/shota and whether the first amendment protects it. This article has presented some excellent points.

OP
I think it brings up some really good points, and while I my self do not write/read/draw any lolicon or shota, I don't believe people who do should be persecuted for it, regardless of why they create or indulge in it. I think the best point he makes though is that basically if we can't defend what we don't like, by the time they come for what we do it'll be too late. No censorship is good censorship.
