Old stuff, part 1
So, I've been going through my old stories, trying to decide what I should post. IF I should post some of it, to be honest. I know that artists and authors can be their own worst critics, but some of this stuff is really cringe-worthy.
I am torn with several of these stories. On the one hand, I would like to post them so that it can be compared to my newer work. On the other hand... Yeesh. Do I really want to call attention to some of the dreck that I put up back when the Web was new? Reading these stories now, I could see what I wanted to do, but the writing was very naive. In some cases, even the premise of the story needed work, so editing the story isn't really a viable option unless I wanted to start from scratch.
So in the meantime, a compromise is in order, I think. I'll post my previously published works here, and leave out the stuff that was only ever good for a website. I figure if it was published, someone at some point thought it was noteworthy.
Then it's time to move on. I will be printing off the Cult of Done Manifesto and Ira Glass' The Gap, and posting them over my desk. ^.^
