Farewell to a Warior Brother
General
13 years after seeing him last, I found out 2 weeks ago that my younger brother (3 of 4 of us total) had passed away. He was buried with a 21 gun salute and honor guard on the 25th of July. Emotional for all of us. The three of us sons did our best to be strong for our mother who was having a hard time keeping together, understandable all things considered. She had to retire early so the rest of us went out to talk and reacquaint ourselves with one another. My mate helped me quite a bit, and I was glad that the Sac. of the Navy, the Marines, and my mate's Army past were all there to honor him.. To an extent, my para-Coast Guard training brought another branch of the armed forces to bear witness to his passing.
