Realistic liquid stylization is the way to go. You get the hardcore musk stream that will make a concentrated area of skunky goodness, and the option to create a musk droplet cloud, misting spray over the ever so privileged victim (not entirely unlike a gas cloud).

I'm not too big on farting in general. A skunk fart isn't too different than any other species' fart.

i like both, but i don't see as many clouds as i'd like. and no matter what species, farting makes me giggle X3

I prefer the liquid to the gas, though cartoon skunk gas clouds do have their appeal. A skunk's fart would probably depend on his/her diet and whatnot. I heard young skunks sometimes emit something between a spray and a fart when excited/frightened.

I am a fan of both liquid and gas clouds, I mostly look at gas clouds.

I also like farts too but mostly if its skunks.

I prefer the liquid Squirts. Simply because they're more realistic.
but to display how much it stinks, an cloud would probably do an better job. So why not combine them :3?

That's pretty much what I do when I draw it! Streams, with some mist "clouds" around them.

I always try my best to have the nipples showing in my spray art (assuming the rear end is showing at all, that is).

I'm not that big on farting when it comes to skunks. Their musk is so wonderfully seductive, that farts just ruin the attraction to them for me.

I have been depicted spraying in the strict sense of squirting my musk at something or somefurry, but I personally like it more as a gas cloud coming from my tail. Either way is fine to me, I just like the gas more, not like a fart, tho... thats disgusting

Definitely twin streams over gas, though liquidy mist clouds don't bother me and certainly have their appeal. IRL I've had both types of spray and while the misting spray certainly gets the scent across, the twin streams hit harder and usually deliver more direct skunky goodness.

As for farting, not my biggest kink so I generally leave it for RP's with people that aren't into spray.

What can I say? I'm an eprotophile and therefore farting is a major turn on. I'm all for realism, but to fancy that a skunk could rip only the most foul scented emissions makes them the prime suspect for gas-related art and writings. As an involuntary defense, the spray works just as it should: a devastating blast to the would-be attacker's eyes and olfactory senses to induce blindness, nausea, and a means of escape, but that's not exactly an ideal situation for romance.

Speak for yourself on whether or not a blast of skunk spray to the face is romantic. :P

I thought I was. Anywho, I do find spray alluring...just not in the face purely as a means of defense. Perhaps I should have made that more clear. Nothing like a reeking shower.

Definitely my favorite kind of shower to experience with another skunk. But yeah, I can't help but get really turned on by the thought of a fellow skunker spraying right in the face. I image that the scent would be just overwhelming and inescapable... and that's just damn hot. o!o

I prefer the realistic depiction, whether that be a fine mist or narrower jets of liquid. I don't object to the gas clouds and farts, but they do seem to me to be the lesser option. The real deal just seems nastier, which is a big part of the appeal for me.
