I like the animation style and the humor of the show. The way that the animators have made the show is so fluid is what captures me the most and it's really just an interesting show.

I hate it because a bunch of grown ass adults seemingly fall for it like they're 6 again; and then some of them go and run around drawing porn of the shit. it's a fucking kids show, thanks for turning it into Stripperella on SpikeTv basically. not to mention, same old morals and values as every other kids show that has ever been, tried to be, and so forth.

It's only cool because the marketers know what the basic population like. loud noises, bright colors, animals, and easily assessed humor meant for kids.

Well we are adults and everything we look at can be in a sexual manner lol. I still enjoy watching kid shows and cartoons, I don't think we should hate on those who can still enjoy the bright n colorful animations these days. I enjoy it for its dery humor and just as an animation, as someone into cartoony arts, its eyecandy!

it wasn't MLP it was the movie version of RENT the first time, and then the second time there was tv in the bg it was power rangers i think (we kept rolling over the remote and when we broke it thats what it got stuck on >.>) and since then i've made it a point to only let certain things be on in the background; because trying to get fucked tied up and all sorts of high whilst the Power Rangers are looking for Tommy in the background noise....is really really hard to do; my ex kept laughing and it was horrible lol

Meh, I'm indifferent towards it, truthfully. I don't mind the show, I think it's cute. What I don't like was the obnoxious flood of MLP art that hit FA for the 6 months following MLP's release. Kinda ruined the whole thing for me.

I started watching it to see what all the fuss is about, and I'm starting to like it. So many kids shows are really shallow these days, and they're awful to sit through. The artwork and animation for MLP is unusually nice, the characters are unique, and some of the humor catches me off guard. You can just tell that someone has been very passionate about making it. It reminds me of the cartoons I used to watch as a kid that could still reach adult audiences. The over cutesyness is part of the appeal, and you have to look past it for a minute to see that it's not applied in the way it is to other kid's shows. It's no worse on the cutesy appeal than having a big toony fursuiter walking around with a sign that says "free hugs".

It's cute and silly and provided some fun amusement while I ate dinner. That's about it.

I quite enjoy MLP: FiM. I ended up watching it accidentally while babysitting my 5 year old female cousin. I thought it was humorous, well thought out, and animated well (especially given what it is made with). The fact that it's far better than most cartoons on nowadays just adds to my enjoyment.

Plus,s oem of the fan nicknamed ponies are pretty cool, like Doctor Whoof.

I hadn't ever hated on it. I decided that I'm not going to hate on something without giving it a chance (example: Twilight). It's uncool to hate on something and find out you might actually like it if you watched it. So i had no intention to watch it. My little brother started watching it on his own and asked me to watch it too. So i did...and I'm on episode 5. While it is obvious its a kid show (i call the entire plot early on in the show) there are still a lot of fun and funny things that happen througout the show that makes it definitely worth watching. Also Tara Strong does like half the voices there, and I looooooove tara strong <3

I like it (Friendship is Magic)because it's animation is fluent, the stories are rather interesting, and the characters are very unique to their personalities. I mean, it's not for everybody, but some do surely enjoy it. If you don't like it, it doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. It just means it's not in your taste.

I tried watchen this after I seen the episode of Cobert mentioning the brony's.
I got threw almost 3 shows and couldn't understand what was wrong with adults that would watch and become devoted fans especially men unless they where pretty flamboyant and liked showtunes and stuff like that.
And I like fellas,but this show made me feel 3 shades gayer and 2 shades dumber just by watchen 2 and a half shows of it.
Seems like a show that isn't appropriate for children or adults and is manufactured to make people retarded like most other shows on these days.

Repetitive art is repetitive.

I'm slightly mystified by its popularity. What finally spurred me into checking it out was a comparison with Spongebob, as a 'children's cartoon, with humour that adults appreciate.' I saw a couple of episodes, and found no comparison. Just several cliched and unabsorbing characters, and certainly little in the way of 'grown-up' humour.

Scanning these comments, the best reason I found for watching it is 'It's cute'. Alright for some maybe, not for me.

There are several reasons why I like the show:

-Many of the episodes' plots are gender-neutral, despite the show being aimed for younger, female audiences.

-While the female-to-male pony ratio isn't high, there are still a decent number for a show aimed at girls and there is a distinctive design differences between the boys and girls.

-Like Foster's, This show is a good example of how "flash" style animation can at least look decent when effort is put into designs. (Unlike shows like Johnny Test, 6Teen, TDI, etc)

-There are big Clydesdale ponies like Prince Blueblood and Big Macintosh.

-That Studio B, the Hub and Hasbro recognize the older audience and are happy with the fan made creations using things from the show.

-Some fan made stuff is great too!

But it's not all rainbooms and cupcakes. I don't like:

-The few episodes that are focused on Rarity, mostly because they promote the princess-ish side of Ponies (i.e. Whining to get out of working!)

-Total lack of male pony products (WHERE IS MY BIG MACINTOSH TOY!?!?!)

-The seemingly imperialistic policies of Equestria.

I don't watch it anymore, but when I was a kid I used to watch it all the time. In fact, I liked to play Ponies vs. GI Joes action figures with my friends. Unsurprisingly, I was in charge of the Ponies and I always stomped the crap out of those pesky Joes!

I think it's pretty much a kid's show.
And I don't see so much of those manly men on 25 watching it either.

It is not my favorite thing in the world, but it's a nice, peaceful distraction from everything, as opposed to the violent distractions from everything (such as violent video games, action movies, etc.)

I have never actually watched the new show, so I cannot fairly comment on it. However, my problem with MLP is simple. I do not like the ridiculously exaggerated chibi style of the ponies. They hardly resemble equines at all and that bothers me. For that reason alone, I have no interest in the show or the franchise. I am certainly not the champion of macho masculinity but MLP is also a little too feminine for my taste.

I am also somewhat irritated by the fact that about half of all equine-themed furry artwork that is produced now is MLP related. It's taking over like a virus. I want REAL equines, thank you.

About a month and a half ago (after avoiding watching that show); I've decided to watch at least one episode just to see what all the hype is about. I have to admit it is a really good show; a bit cutesy but fun to watch...

Honestly I didn't like the old MLP from when i was a Kid. But the Friendship is Magic is a good show i think. yeah its set for more younger kids to watch and hits more the girl side of things. But its a cute show and the characters are funny. I don't think it should matter if you like it or not to be honest. If you do then great join the fun like i have. If you don't ignore the pics you see and stories and what ever and get over it. There is so much in the furry world that people like and don't like it shouldn't be a problem. This will pass just like a lot of other things have. And i will admit I'm a Borny, but i'm not like most of the rest of the fan group who get all crazy over it.

It's a moderately amusing distraction with fan fiction potential, and one of my friends roped me into it.

I watched all of it at once while sleep-deprived. I enjoyed it immensely. I don't know if that's because the show was great or because my standards were lower than normal.

I love it and hate it and I wish it would stop being a conundrum in my mind!

I hate it because it's so frilly and girly. The plots are incredibly predictable: Things are going well, til something comes to disrupt the very thing that's making things go well (it's never even something different), they realize the solution was incredibly simple, and then moral. And speaking of morals, every episode ends in a moral, showing it's yet another children's show that just has to shove good morals and friendship down everyone throats.

However, I also love it, because of the characters and how they handle their situations. Unlike in past versions of my little pony, the characters in this show have exactly that: character. Each character on the show has their own unique personality and way of doing things. On top of this, emphasis is also placed on the Cutie Mark, the stupid emblem that is on the flank of just about every pony that in the past was the only real way to tell them apart. The show's characters has evolved from cookie cutter crap to people with personality, showing actual emotion and thinking on their own. In addition, the art style is more cartoony and lively, so even though it's very bubbly, it's also appealing to look at for short periods of time.

How do I feel about this? It's a love/hate relationship that shames me everyday. Now if you'll excuse me, I think the next episodes up on youtube.

Watched the show. Its a decent program, so I don't hate it. However, I don't get the over obsession. Like MLP: FiM has become a fuckin' Occult. I'm serious about this, I know "Bronies" who tried to convert people and succeeded. I don't even obsess over Pokemon as bad as I know some Bronies do.

Some of the fans can be cool. Some get on my nerves. For exmaple, A hardcore brony going to the point to insulting you for not liking the show. Yeah...fuck no.

Hell, I even think some of the characters furs have made around FA. However, there is a limit. Makin' fursuits of two of the characters. I really hope they made those themselves, cause I wouldn't pay money for it.

That and the MLP porn. Granted, if they look like anthro horses its not that bad. However, slapping a cock or vagoo on them as the were originally created can be a bit disturbing. And please, dont give me that "If you don't like it, don't look at it." Its hard not to see the thumbnails when someone post a cornucopia of MLP Porn that I have to delete from the submissions list.

Long Story short: The show is pretty decent. Yet, the fad/obsession is out of control.

It's a really good show. And I'd like to clear up a few things...

-It's not that girly. They're colorful ponies. Other than that, the humor and stories are gender neutral for the most part.
-Its hilarious. The humor is aimed towards adults as well as children. There are some subtlties that kids wouldn't understand.
-The characters are developed really well. You can watch two episodes and know who everyone is.
-It's animated really well. It just is.
-Did I mention how funny it is? It's seriously clever. Comedic timing is perfect and everything. And seriously, how funny is it that the happiest, most colorful character grew up on a rock farm? That's brilliant! The puns are pretty great too. They're, you know, stupid funny.
-I think my favorite aspect of the show is that sometimes I forget that they're ponies. I'll be watching and they might as well be humans and then one migh rear back and kick the air, which is when I realize that these are talking ponies who still do pony things.

Anyway, it's a funny, clever, well-thought-out show. And to all the people out there who think it's stupid because of the morals or because it's a show for little girls, or because it's so popular (a.k.a. aspiring hipsters), if you're going to be so judgemental and negative, then go out and make your own damn show!

I like it because it's a good cartoon series: Excellent dialogue, character development, beautiful animation, humour...I can go on for awhile.

I think it's refreshing to see a new cartoon series which is actually good and well-written, I have seen just about every new cartoon series for the last few years being absolutely terrible (like Fanboy and CHum Chum, ugh!) so I'd latch immediately to something like this which is good.

Also, the sheer quantity and quality of the fan material means that there's more than enough pony stuf to satisfy your craving. I think that's also another important thing to the show's popularity and success
