I'm a homophobia hater...

OK, I'm a straight guy. But there's one thing I cannot stand more than anything else in the universe, and that is homophobia (ie people vilifying/demonizing/abusing homosexuality). It's practically my Berserk Button [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.p.....BerserkButton]; I've even gotten into arguments with Youtubers who've made homophobic comments.
Let me tell you how it came about. I was browsing Yahoo! Answers for "saddest thing you ever read" (yeah, real-life me has mental issues) and happened upon this snippet of information (I may not have the details right):
A guy came out to his parents and they kicked him out of their house. A few years later, he came back and his parents wanted nothing to do with him (his father even punched him). After being ousted again, he died under a cardboard box, reduced to the state of a beggar.
I was horrified, hurt, saddened that someone could do this to their own child just for being gay. And this was before I even heard about Matthew Shepard, Brandon Teena and Tyler Clementi.
In fact, if I ever came into power, I'd send all bullies and homophobes to concentration camps! Call me cruel/inhumane if you want, but let me tell you; these people commit crimes against humanity on a daily basis and show no mercy to their victims, so why show them mercy, hmm? That's how much it disgusts me. Also, there was Uganda's barbaric Anti-Homosexuality Bill, which I voted AGAINST on Avaaz.org when they mentioned it.
Love is a beautiful thing, be it with the opposite sex or the same sex. So why do people feel the need to hurt a person just for being gay?
For that matter, take a look at these GMH stories:

and this:

And people should also take a few notes from vgm22's mum: "My mum knows I'm gay and doesn't care. She still loves me."
