I'm back. Anyway I did not feel it appropriate to post this last week but the news is that I have lost another member of my family.

She was a long-time sufferer of leukemia, she had come to the end of her treatment and had a white blood cell transfusion from my mum. At first it had appeared to have worked, It had managed to eliminate nearly all of the cancer cells in her body. However it became complicated, since the White blood cells started attacking the other organs and her body started to reject the White Blood Cells after the Immunosuppressants stopped working. Last week she was so weak that when she got up to the bathroom, she fell and hit her head, causing severe brain damage and internal bleeding. She died later the same day.

The news reached me while I was on holiday, and the last three days I have been visiting my Grandmother trying to comfort her through these tough days.

It was all a massive shock for us, since we thought that she was making progress while actually she was deteriorating.

My thoughts go out to my mum, who is now an only child, my Grandmother who has lost a daughter, and my uncle who has lost his wife.
