I wish him luck getting a new laptop. Mine died on me recently as well and it sucks.

i think his HD is okay, he said what broke was the hinge and screen.

I'd lend him my laptop if it wouldn't be super-expensive to ship. I don't have $30+ to throw into just shipping a laptop :( I hope he finds something asap.

I'm now more motivated and encouraged than ever knowing I've got good, generous like you supporting me, and because of that I genuinely can't even say that I'm sorry that this accident happened since I may in a meaningful way be better off than before as a result of this experience.

but yeah, Ive deliberately messed with the hinge since it started working again just to try and get it to fail so I wouldn't get false hope and it die on me again and its working pefectly aside from needing something to hold up the screen now (i made a vid on tumblr showing this), and I can actually work with this.
