I've been thinking lately that I'd like to write more. I have a lot of ideas and opinions (LOTS of opinions, lol), but the problem is that they never seem to amount to much that's interesting. Nothing I can build a story from. I could write loads of opinion articles, but who would be interested in that on FA?

I'm not going to kid myself, I know that people don't come to FA for fine literature. They come here for something to fap to--if they read anything at all. The problem is that I've tried and I just am not interested in posting sexy pieces. Sex is very boring for me to write, which is why I almost never do yiffy RPs.

This puts me in a conundrum. I can continue to post my mediocre (at best) poetry, submit my little opinion articles, and deal with NOBODY reading them (except maybe a few people who know me from F2F). Or I can write stuff I'm not passionate about in an attempt to get myself noticed as an author on F2F. Life sucks, doesn't it?

I do have an idea for a short story or novella that I may one day try to write and try to publish, but unfortunately I'm not in a place where I can write it right now. It concerns a child whose dad has cancer, and she discovers she has magical powers. The story's theme would pretty much be about how helpless we feel when watching a loved one dying/in pain when you can't do anything about it, and how wonderful it'd be if you COULD stop it. But, this story is way too close to home for me right now and I couldn't do the story justice because of that. Not yet. Also, it would not be a furry story, so I'm not even sure if it'd be welcome here at all.

...Ironically, writing this has just given me an idea for a furry short story, though somewhat dark in nature. I think I'll get working on it. Why does inspiration come past midnight for me?
