I shall get to it soon :3
And deleting the shouts off the main page. At the moment I'm not too concerned, though. It's a new thing, it'll take some getting used to, and I have a bunch more journals to write. lol
I just realized the info about the shout boxes and stuff. X3 of course i never posted shouts on there (not that i recall anyways) but i did go ahead and post one just now on a sale/offer i am having. X3 Seems like a really fun marketing idea, mosa you really know how to utilize this site. X3 *claps*
Was wondering where we would post things like "looking for a commission"? My boyfriend is currently looking for one, and I was hoping to post here about it. ._.
Unfortunately this community doesn't really work that way. If you're looking for a commission, simply browse the artists here and contact the ones that interest you.
What would you do against people, annoying you, cause they ALWAYS want a piece of art from you?
I mean it's cool, cause I'd always earn something. But it's annoying.
When I'd like to do the first pic, they want a second one and then a third one and the fourth one o____O
How could I tell them to stop this ? xD
I'd like to be more popular for everyone - not just for those 3 -.-''
And then this makes me even more slowly because it's that annoying to always draw the same character, which is not mine.
And then another problem: I'd like this special person to use paypal. the problem is, the first time he commissioned me, he was allowed to use bank transfer. but yeah, I'd like to save up on my paypal - but he does not have paypal. How am I able to tell him that he's just able to pay through paypal in the future?
I want to keep this customers, cause they mean money forever xD But I also want to draw for other people and for myself :/
Depends. How badly do you need the money, and are there other people waiting to get art from you as well?
If you really need the money and nobody else is biting, the only thing you can do is suck it up and do the work for the same few people. It might be annoying, you might feel a bit burned out, but it's really either that or getting a job outside the home. Just remember that the more you draw and post (whatever it is, for whoever it is), you will eventually acquire more watchers that might commission you.
You could also politely inform those people that you're interested in trying other things, maybe encourage them to give you different characters to draw.
If you have other people wanting art from you, then you might want to impose a rule, like for example, a customer is only allowed _ number of pieces in a row, and if they can't wait, perhaps add a little extra fee for the privilege to "break" the rule.
As for the paypal thing, I would not keep any large amount of money in paypal for extended periods of time. If something happens and your account is frozen, your money is gone, because paypal is a private company and they can do what they like with the money you keep with them.
That said, it's completely up to you how you want to be paid, and if you only want to accept paypal, you need to put that in your Terms of Service and stick to it. People can still pay by paypal without an account as long as they have a credit card or check card.
If you want to draw more for yourself, the only person stopping you is you. You just have to make time. Also keep in mind that the content of your gallery is a reflection of yourself and your watcher base and what people will want to buy from you will most likely keep along similar lines based on what they see. So try to fill your gallery with the sort of things you'd like to draw for other people.
thank you so much for that long reply ! and not probs bout the time ;D
I was able to solve the problem myself, I simply told this special person that I'd like to reach other people too and to draw more different stuff, I'm not sure if he was able to understand it, but he only asked one time again for a commission <3
Bout the paypal thing: I created a ToS now, and do not allow bank transfer anymore (:

Thanks for that. I need to go watch that now. History is one of my most favorite things ever :O
Pimping artists all over, but no writers.
More satisfying, but not as easy to have 20 up at once.
We need to refocus the community to give equal thought to stories, :P
