Artist Motivation
A lot of artists have a hard time getting started every day, and likely just as many can get going easily but can only work in short bursts before losing interest/getting distracted.
I have a problem getting started every day no matter what, but once I do, I can generally keep going as long as I have my favorite shows to watch/listen to in the background, and a constant river of tea.
When you're feeling less than motivated, what compels you to push through and get things done? Do you bribe yourself with goodies for every time you complete something? Allow your favorite music/tv shows ONLY while working? Something else entirely?
What gets your butt in the chair and pencil/stylus in hand, and/or keeps it there?

I also need a playlist, or a song on a loop.... Well any white noise really. OH! And a mini snack to before I start! ^v^ I don't know why, but that motivates the stew out of me. :D
Some other times doing some gesture drawings helps, but the days I can't focus on anything I just don't draw till the afternoon (and probably do nothing else either) and then, around 7pm I get the "inspiration" and draw till I go to bed...
Music is a constant in my life too, I can't do anything without music.
merely a need to get art done.
forcing my hand to do its job and try to ignore the carpel tunnel.
Currently I'm working on a website and have to design art for it. So I'm pretty pumped!
I keep a big folder with all sorts of inspiration material to absorb. Very important.
its just hard since IRL hurts and is a pain in the ass
Taking a break from it wouldnt be an issue if I hadn't been 'taking a break' for what feels like a few months now... So now I come to here, as much as I hate to sound greedy or something, I feel like money might be my only ticket out of this personal nightmare. Starting slow though. Never tried this before so I hope it works.
Or if its in the middle of the day or night, I use the Television as a back noise or go on youtube to find my favorite commentators, SkyDoesMinecraft or Markiplier as a sort of comic relieve as I draw. Either way, I'll get into the drawing mood sooner or later during the day :3
