So it turns out the greatest Video game studio of all time, Arena Net, is accepting Internships applications and I can't go. Why? Because they say you have to pay you own way to move up to Bellevue, Washington. And because I have the unfortunate luxury of being unemployed for over a year now where not even Fast Food would take me I can't move out there. Oh well I am going to try my hands at modeling some of the creatures they give you to try out, practice is practice...

It might be possible to get a roommate. That would be more reasonable if you had to move all the way out there for the internship. I was planning on sending in an application for next year's batch of interns since I didn't have anything decent for a portfolio for this year. If you'd like, we could stay in touch? If we both sent in applications and got accepted somehow, I'd be willing to share rent or something. But this is just a wayward dream of mine I suppose. Might be good to keep in mind though.
Hope is not yet lost!!
I had fun talking to Katy, we actually shared modeling methods with each other she's a traditional box modeler where as I prefer building my models up from a single plane, I really should go back to my charr I tried to do. I am not an expert I have been using Maya for six years but still its worth the try. My friend gave me a link to a local game company here in Marina Del Ray that was looking for people.
I'm jealous you got to meet all of them! I wish I had enough funds to fly out to a game convention like that. It would have felt so great to get my hands on GW2. Oh, well!
Not only did I get to meet them, but NCsoft game me my first 18 and over, show ID at the door party with open bar and waiters carrying around trays of food at the Hard Rock Hotel across the street, sadly I couldn't stay all through out the party duration there
