Well, pointing out flaws in the anatomy ia moatly juat a part of the constructive cricitisms that lets artists improve. It may be an issue if the artist has a specific reason for drawing them the way he does, but simply giving your own viewpoints and suggestions is a completely acceptable part in discussing someone's work. If they really dont want your opinions, they have no business posting it on a public site.

Well yeah, if it's a commission, that's obviously the person's choice or preference. In general, I was saying, if you wanna ask, ask if there was a particular reason they drew the dick that way because you're just curious.

Other people I know would just comment, "You drew it wrong, dumbass" and leave it at that.

Voicing it benignly gives the artist a chance to explain themselves, or maybe have an "I can't believe I did that" or "Oh, I didn't know that" moment.

Whenever I see a barbed penis causing pain or bleeding, I want to ask if the character really does have solid barbs, because IRL those things are just fleshy stimulators. No pain at all. A friend of mine schooled me in that info a while back.

Well, I meant I have seen/read it. Sometimes sadism, sometimes the bottom seems to enjoy it, sometimes the artist/author didn't know any better and assumed.

Well... considering this is all imaginary characters and such... how can someone even SAY what's wrong or right? The concepts are coming out of someone else's mind, not some "Handbook of Proper Furry Anatomy". However it's drawn is how it was asked to be drawn, and therefore correct.

On the concept of stealing other people's characters? A lot of furries are just lazy bastards. So of course when they come across a premade, interesting, attractive, fun character they're gonna try to sneak and steal it. It's actually really sad that people so it, but I guess until someone comes up with some kind of limiter that prevents people from copying or something, it's just gonna happen.

And I suppose the laziness factor is why adoptables are so popular.

Adoptables are THE worst idea I've ever seen come up in the fandom since I joined it. Period.

People who have no imagination really shouldn't be bothering to even try making a persona here; they should wait until some kind of inspiration comes to them. Anyone who takes someone else's concept and idea, then says "It's mine! I PAID for it!" should be too embarrassed to do more than that before turning around and walking off with their face all flushed.

I also think that the people selling them are kinda sad, as these people, though I suppose just taking advantage of the "market" of unimaginative, unoriginal people, are just FEEDING the market as well. "Don't try to think or be original! I can do it FOR you! You'll be able to say this "Famous" artist created your persona... the very personal representation of who you are in the fandom!" ...Ugh. And all for the almighty dollar.

I'm all for helping someone come to a decision on what their persona is, but seriously.

It's a market that caters to laziness, and if you give some people the opportunity, they will be lazy.

You know, I don't think I've ever had somebody actually steal my character. But then again, I truck usually with written works, which don't attract near as much attention.

My issue actually happened in the tub! I was more than livid, because this person actually told me to my face that she was trying to copy me. I know imitation is supposed to be the highest form of flattery but I didn't like it *makes a scrunched bunneh face*

I'm glad that my character hasn't been copied. Mainly because he's probably too boring to steal, heh. No wings, no extra genitals, no 15-inch penis or biceps bigger than his head, no fluorescent colors, no colors at all, except for the eyes.
