The Chronicles of Jayden Volume I The Gifted
14 years ago
“The solitude of the still evening air briefly calmed the raging fire within. He looked at the silver ring on his left paw and wondering if there was enough blood in the invader’s veins to wash away the sorrow tearing at his empty soul. Memories of his hearts love flooded his mind bringing a sad peaceful solace. Angry shouts, followed by screams for mercy shattered those peaceful memories fueling the rage within. A cold hatred numbed his conscious thoughts as he focused on his Gift and with a blinding speed raced for the traitorous city of Dotharian, paws glowing brilliant red as his rage fueled him. “
Sanura, Historical Chronicler of Jayden.
The first trilogy, The Gifted, Monster and Savior, and Dark Secrets, follow the lives of two former lovers. Commander Mari Semineu who is seen by her race as a kind loving leader and the monster Summoner Zenti Semineu who is feared and loathed by not only his race but the invaders as well. One hell-bent on hating the betrayer, one heaven-bent on saving the other.
Set on the isles of Mitd, which rest in the southern hemisphere of the Planet Jayden is where our Chronicles begin. For centuries, invaders would descend from the heavens, plunder, destroy, and then vanish for decades. This time they have come to stay. The citizens of Mitd look to their king for answers and protection, but all is not well in the Crown City. Mitd is a pre-modern advanced society where shamanistic magic still exists. The race is torn by a war with the invaders, in a kingdom rift with internal strife where treachery is as common as air, not knowing who to trust, fearing the invaders, and living in constant terror of the monster Zenti. They pray that their beloved savior will protect them from the horrors of war.
The invaders seek out all the Gifted, but frantically search for the cold-hearted monster Zenti and the beloved savior they only hear rumors about.
They have brought war to Mitd.
The Gifted is a story of hatred, love, war, betrayal, revelations and treachery. Where nothing and no one is, as they seem.
The Chronicles of Jayden are a Sci-Fi Fantasy Anthropomorphic Dekalogy. (Series of 10 books)
The second trilogy follows the lives of two new lovers, in search of reality in an advance pre-modern land of U'thar where the Ministries controls the citizens of the land with such determination that they live an uneasy life. These two lover, Raine and Chester, have been "tasked" with finding answers to questions from a mysterious traveler that will lead them to the shores of Mitd and the monster that is called the savior. Answers that will get them executed by the Ministries of U'thar.
The third trilogy is a secret still as is the final Volume of Jayden which brings the dekalogy close, but not an end. (the roughs are done but the actual writing has not started. After all it takes a lot to write 10 books between cups of coffee and bathroom breaks!)
