What an odd coincidence, I was just considering suggesting something but wasn't sure if you took suggestions.

Anyway, while I'm not sure about species as you've done pretty well already as far as variety goes, I was wondering if it would ever be possible for the laboring mother's partner being with her. Most likely this would mean the father, but not necessarily.

If I had to ask for any kind of species, though, I would go with something avian. I know they lay eggs, but you have dragon/frog women giving live births and they read pretty naturally, pun not intended.

Putting the classic Vampire and Werewolf would be interesting

Twins would be awesome (moms or babies)

In my opinion there are not nearly enough exotic mythic birth stories. I would recommend that you write something with some underlying danger in it, such as a birth scene with a gorgon or a Greek siren.

Perhaps something like a Dryad, or a Wemic?

Perhaps you could do something interesting, like perhaps an anthro Gel couple, who've used a volunteer human female as an incubator for a gel child they've conceived together?

I've thought about stuff involving slimefolk before, but I've had trouble thinking of ways to make it interesting and/or into something people would actually enjoy reading.

I actually had an idea once involving a pregnant werewolf who, due to an extremely painful labor, was having involuntary transformations. Never followed up on it, though.
