Bloody procrastination

I do apologize for the lack of a structured journal style in advance, I shall promptly add it to my 'do later' list and promptly forget about it, perhaps finishing it some weeks later. This is entirely relevant to my story that as of yet has only one small, introductory chapter posted up here, and it was put up about a week ago, how pathetic of me. The second chapter is actually sitting on my desktop half written and every time I try to finish it I open it up, only to close it down after a sentence with the idea of "later". Ugh it is such foolery and I am incapable of breaking it so far, it seems tgat I woukd rather be quiescent than finish it off, but what to do?
It's not just that though, other projects have to be left unfinished, much to my horror, whether it be video, community, graphics, events or the written word. Dear god why have we evolved such procrastination, it certainly wouldn't be muxh use in nature, not wanting to hunt until one has starved to death or otherwise, so where has it come from? And more importantly, how can one beat it? But no matter what, I am going to force myself to finish it tomorrow.
