My mom compared coming out to her just now "like an abortion". Killing the years she's spent building up my life, and how the rest of mine is shattered.

I'm sure you don't know this, but among some hardcore star wars fans there is a saying. It comes from some of the expanded universe, and goes, "Aliit ori'shya tal'din."
It translates to "Family is more than bloodline."
There are people who care about you, even if your mother is no longer one of them.
Sorry to hear it was harsh, but in time the pain will fade hopefully and things will be recanted.
