Never heard of Funday Pawpet Show. What's it like?
The song sounded close enough, and I'm sure the Banana Splits used to lip-sync and pretend to play on their show a lot. They probably did it because large furry paws are not too good at operating some instruments...like string instruments and flutes/other wind instruments. You could always practice with your eyes closed so you can get the feel of where you need to place your hands on the base/piano. For the piano, might I suggest you get some different shaped stickers and place them on key keys in order to help you determine where your hands are at on the piano.

That's actually just what I'm going to do! I gotta be careful I don't deface the piano any more than it has been already, what with the hardware bolted in and all.

go with white stickers for the white keys and black stickers for the black keys if at all possible.

You are SUCH a freaking perfectionist! I heard only two klinkers in there. That's damn good!

There are more than two! And a lot of the flat notes were that particular kind of "oh oh, I need to be shifting down soon or I might not be ready for the next note!" anxiety. It's okay, I know I do much better out of suit, but it just seemed like I should try it IN suit.

Rhubarb isn't very demure; he'd probably yell even if he had a mic right up in his face. But he can tone it down in the future. There's a reason all this stuff is labeled "beta test".

You could easily replace Billy Mays with that amount of yelling haha

A few things:

1. Rhubarb's dialect is fantastic. It's one of those great character idiosyncrasies that makes you look at the character a new way when you hear it, and gives him a clear, distinct personality.

2. "Modulate!" is now the catchphrase of the day.

Believe it or not, Rhubarb's voice is not that different from my real one. If I hadn't spent years trying to disinfect all the Ozarks affectations out of my speech, I would sound remarkably like this. I listen to my family members, who have never been self-conscious about such things, and do my best impersonation of them. It ends up exaggerated because of my jutted-out jaw.

"Modulate!" is always a good trick. It never fails to give your efforts that Branson-like sheen.
