Zoom Zoom update WTF MPG!!!
So I went and visited an old friend today. He lives about 65 miles away. I filled the new (used) car all the way, and reset the trip odometer so I could get MPG calculations. My round trip was 130 miles, and I used 3.279 gallons of gas. Now for the record the car was advertised to get 28 MPG on the highway, but my calculated MPG was 39. I want to know how that is possible!

It was downhill both ways?

No, and oddly it wasn't all highway either. Lot of back county windy ass roads.

Well, honestly, the only thing I can realy think of is that when you filled the tank after your trip, it did not fill all the way. Different gas station? different gas formulation makes bubbling in the filler neck that shuts if off early?! That or you just have AMAZING gas mileage? OR, possibly, your speedometer odometer is WAY off.

Same gas station. And I double checked the trip milage with mapquest. So all I can say is YAY! I will keep checking it as the weeks pass to see if it stays that good.
