So today there was a minor plumbing failure at my mothers (to which Im staying at)... in it some water dripped (in copious amounts), onto the table where my laptop and tablet were set up. While I had thought that none of it had directly come in contact, there was some splashed onto the tablet (though thankfully it avoided the laptop proper and only got the case of my external monitor). Again, Id thought Id saved all told, and thought nothing of it. Earlier this evening I got to work coloring one of the commissions I have in que. Perhaps 20mins in, while touching up an area, it fritzed and stopped working. I unplugged it, blew out the openings etc, then plugged it back in. Everything worked fine (though in retrospect Id failed to notice the Fn1 button was no longer backlit). That is for about 15-20mins before it once again fritzed, this time all the lights going out and no response. I unplugged it, tried to open up the back to air it out, even downloaded new drivers on the off chance that Wacom's notorious driver drop happened. Nada.

So, long story, any commission work is going to be delayed until I can replace it (I could try and use my mouse but I think Id kill someone given the detail Ive invested so far).

TL;DR, tablet flopped, need to replace, pr0nz delayed for a few days at least.


*sighs* today has been a shit day, this just iced the cake.


[Update]: Ive ordered a Bamboo Touch (which is slightly larger than my old tablet, yay) and should have it sometime next week hopefully. I'll crank back into commissions once that happens.

Annnnd useless journal is useless (because noone reads them if past experience is any indication).
