Sorry it has been a while since I've posted anything. Life has been a bit busy over the summer and into fall, it hasn't slowed.
I've been doing a lot, tired a lot and just trying to catch up on things.
I hate how behind I am on some things.
I hate how I can't find other things that will help me with what I need to get done.
I've visited my Nana's grave.
I've been in the Pentagon...and had shrimp and grits to eat.
I've demonstrated needlefelting and spinning. I now have an Ashford Kiwi that I can use, it is a double treadle and a lot more portable than my Ashford Traditional.
I've been assisting a guy in an nursing home with reorganizing his room.
I've been sewing.
I've been the one at the helm of a 50ft sailing vessel, steering it out of harbor, up the Californian coast and back to harbor thanks to my uncle deciding I needed to have the experience.
I got to be one of the only two in a room that wasn't blond when my family got together...of course in that same get together, everyone but mom was taller than me.
The re-emergence of my nickname "Mangula" reemerged after mom had lapband (in April) and I insisted on walking with her. Since she had started to lose weight (last year after being taken off of avandia) she is down 75lbs and a couple of sizes.
I had to retire the big purple fluffy hat. It was falling apart. However, I do have other hats that I have found and am enjoying.
I visited the cousins and got to see my brother covered in mud due to their ATVing. Also got to see many corvettes in a single area that wasn't a car show.
Went to a Spin in one month and saw how flax was readied to spin and got to see an angora lap goat...which my cousin now has two.
Went to a Knit in and needlefelted. Got a girl into needlefelting.
Created Impers to go to a store in Roanoke, VA.
Got to see a friend of mine's mom (whom I also consider a second mom) that I haven't seen in an age and she's looking really good.
...and that's just a little bit of what I've done all summer.

I try to be okay. being depressed sucks more than a black hole.
today, a baby alpaca was born at the event that I was demonstrating spinning.
Nice! I've witnessed all manner of critters being born, but never an alpaca.
