you are definitely good-looking! I think that maybe it's your attitude. When you are convinced that there is no-one out there for you, that everyone is taken etc etc . . . . you are setting yourself up for disappointment, so that is what you are going to get!

The biggest thing that women are attracted to, IMO, is self-confidence (same for men being attracted to women, or men to men or women to women. Whatever). You have to feel great about yourself, be doing something in life that makes you happy, surround yourself with people who make you feel good to be around. When you are happy and confident on the inside, it will show, and you have to let it come out! If you are really depressed or unhappy with life, then find yourslef a good therapist who can help you sort out the inner fantasy of how life is supposed to be, from the reality of how life really is and can be for you! Maybe being in the military gave you a self-worth complex, being just another number or whatever, and it has carried over. Maybe you don't think you have anything to offer . . . and if you believe that, how are you going to get a potential mate to believe in you either?

Have you considered an online service, such as Match.com or eharmony? I met my fiancee on match.com, three years ago, and we couldn't be happier. If you are limiting yourself to someone from the furry sphere, you are narrowing down your playing field quite a lot (esp if you are looking for available women). My man is not furry, and it doesn't effect our relationship in the slightest. He knows I draw furry porn, and look at it, and go to conventions, and have a bunch of local furiends (whom he has met, and likes a good deal). True, it would be nice if he were as enthused about it as I am, but he is what he is, and I love him that way! Don't limit yourself unnecisarily, is all I'm sayin'.

that's great! It's my belief that every person alive could benefit from therapy, and I think it's sad that we believe that you don't need therapy until things get really rough, or that it's a last resort. It should be the FIRST thing people do when they are having problems, and even when they are not!

My advice is to ask your potential therapists if they have studied Jung and his philosophies. If you can find a certified Jungian (It's pronounced YOONG, btw) analyst in your area, all the better . . . however, they may be a bit pricey, comparatively. It's well worth it though, IMO!! They will do SO much more for/with you than just putting you on a pill regime.
