Some people feel as though the show is being "shoved" in their faces. If they don't care for it they don't really have to look at it, or at least try and grow a little more tolerance for it. Anger and hate are so unnecessary!

People hate it because they are hipsters that don't like how mainstream MLP has become. They think they are too old for it and just don't like seeing it everywhere they go.

I just really like old mlp... I like g3 chibs and super old 80's sea ponies. I used to hate new mlp, because it was so different from old mlp. (then I actually watched both new and old mlp, and I realized I couldn't stand either... just not my thing. I just like the (old) toys.^^).

When I especially don't like something, after a bit I look up stuff about it, so after looking up interviews of mlp:fim producers, I can understand why so many people like it. For a show that (let's face it) was created to sell little plastic toys, they've done well.

... though Pinkie Pie scares the living daylights out of me, I've got to admit.

To be fair, Hasbro wanted to make it to sell toys, but Lauren Faust wanted to make it to prove a point about shows for girls not having to be boring and repetitive nonsense like they have been thus far.

It's a mix of both ends, really.

The reason people hate on MLP because it is shit. Not because it's geared towards children because most the people in this fandom sprouted from childrens show, like the original MLP, Care Bears, Scooby Doo, or for our generation, Disney.

I can understand not liking something because you think it's shit, but I can't really understand HATING it because you think it's shit. o: It's like hating an artist because you think their art is shit.

I wish more people saw it like that, though, instead of childishness. A lot of us still adore the cartoons we grew up with and a lot of those cartoons fueled our passion for furry art and things furry in general.

Agreed on the last part. As for hating something because it's shit, you can hate the hype of it because you feel it's shit. Take me for instance, I want to vomit every time I see anything MLP related. I think it's a horrible show and the style takes no talent. Unlike most who hate it, I did attempt to watch it. A friend of mine creams his pants over MLP so we watched it and I lasted about 2 minutes before I had to burn my eyes out, my bf lasted 30 seconds.

So, yes you can hate something if it is complete shit. I hate some people because they are just pieces of shit. If you've had the hassle of having a cell phone that's just a pos and wouldn't work properly, you would end up hating it.

The fact that the -entire- show has no creativity put into it. The voice actors all sound if they were picked up off the streets and asked to read lines. I've already mentioned the art skills are that of a toddler. There was so much bullshit within the first two minutes of the first episode that I started to feel I had the intelligence level of someone with Cerebral Policy.

It is the epitome of dumb american consumerism.

Good voice acting to me is where the voices don't sound like they picked child hookers up off the streets and asked them to read scripts.

I'm not even a MLP fan and I can't fathom how you're interpreting the voices. I think it has great voice acting.

Yeah, they didn't just "reboot" MLP, they totally booted it. It's sorta like what Enterprise did to Star Trek, except more successful!

The thing is, I like the show, but the fact that it's "My Little Pony" was something I had to get over at first, and that wasn't easy! I just think of the show as "Friendship is Magic" instead, and then I can enjoy the adorable characters and their wacky antics, despite that.

Gotta admit I love the show too. Cause it's actually trying. Watch the original My Little Pony some time, that was horrible and was just trying to sell a product to kids.
