Not with 1.8, just cool new stuff, 1.9 which is the other half of it may or may not

This update has random generated towns
which are very very rare, also which are unpopulated till 1.9

exp that drops but does nothing, it supposed to do stuff in 1.9

the new mob which is rare and isnt near as bad ass as people were letting on but is still pretty neat

food and having to eat, but since food is really easy to get you have to be lazy and a moron to "stave" in the game.

and some dungeons that are also random but dont do anything but have a few chests to find.

The only thing I can see breaking the game is moron and annoying NPCs which are to be added to the towns, but might be fine if they dont suck

Also they added a creative mode where you can build anything you want with any item you want so you can still make anything.

I'm so glad I didn't get involved in Minecraft. If its that addictive, I'd end up being swept up in it forever.
