Rediscovering Sai

I just may have thrown away my reason for hating Jenny's pink hair.
Yesterday, I opened up Sai to fiddle around with its brushes. Roshi's commissions required a lot of fluffy fur, which is something I've never gotten the hang of in Photoshop. Sai seemed to handle brushes really well and has this awesome smoothness to its strokes. Painting with certain settings really makes me feel like I'm using oil paints... it's that liquid.
So I furred up Roshi's commishs and posted the two of them up. And then... I was kinda bored. So I opened up one of Yawg's side projects and fiddled with hair.

Sai makes painting hair SO EASY.
This doesn't mean I don't need to flip back and forth with Photoshop, but the actual shading of hair is... fun.
Damn.
I'm gonna have to save up to get more RAM. My comp can't handle Photoshop/Sai and Chrome running at the same time. It's gets a panic attack and waves the flag.
Anyone else want some colouring done? I'm open for bizz!

I'll take a look at OpenCanvas and Corel. Clip Studio Paint looks pretty insane too...

I don't know if OpenCanvas is even a thing anymore, but Sketchbook and Manga Studio are both highly talked about programs, in addition to Sai. Sai and MS are my two go-to's for now.

Looking up PS tutorials to see what I can do to the brush settings. I'm feeling pretty dumb, because I've never customized mine.
